Working With Wild Gum by Raintree

At Freshco we believe environmental issues are serious business and take them to heart. Helping our planet is always on our mind. So when we had the opportunity to work with Raintree Gum Company, a 100% organic, biodegradable, and sustainable product, we jumped at the chance to help tell their story. 

Wild Gum is sourced from the rainforest of El Peten, Guatemala. These proud communities are part of the Rainforest Alliance, which ensures the local workers earn a fair, living wage. They use sustainable methods of milking the sap from the trees, which does not damage the trees and in turn helps protect the rainforest, which serves our environment and ultimately our planet. In the past such communities had no choice but to employ invasive, clear cutting operations that destroyed the forest for coffee planting.
